The nation of Mozambique is one of the poorest in the world, ranking 172nd out of 189 countries on the United Nations Human Development Index, a measure of the well-being of countries. In partnership with several other agencies, World Vision is launching a multifaceted approach to combat the sources of poverty in Zambezia, one of the most underdeveloped portions of that country.
