Children's Relief Nursery
Children's Relief Nursery serves children from birth through three years who are at serious risk for abuse or neglect. Studies show that comprehensive, early intervention programs such as this can reduce child abuse by up to 80%. It is confirmed that one in ten children in North Portland is a victim of abuse and/or neglect. Children's Relief Nursery has three core values: 1) every child deserves a safe and healthy family; 2) early intervention is the best long-term social investment we can make; and 3) assisting parents in providing appropriate, nurturing care for their children will ultimately break the cycle of abuse and neglect.
Please contact us if you would like to volunteer in a classroom at CRN, if you would be willing to launch a clothing drive or host a baby shower, or if you would like to help in some other way. We can help you get started. You will first be asked to fill out a Volunteer Form. You can download it from the CRN website and mail it back to the address on the top of the form or register online. Go to their volunteer page for more information. You are also welcome to contact Mollie McAlpin Maughn at CRN directly to talk to her about getting involved -- (503) 595-4512 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
