You can be involved in Women of Vision by……...
Learning more:
- Join us for an educational event. We host speakers several times each year who help us understand global poverty issues. Check the calendar for upcoming dates.
- Join the next Women of Vision cross-cultural study, "The Heart of the Matter: Touching the Lives of Women in Poverty," which explores poverty issues that
affect millions of women and children. Contact us for more information.
- Sign up to be a Women of Vision Partner and receive our newsletter and invitations to all programs and events. Your annual pledge of $50 is tax deductible and supports the work of
our chapter as we reach out to impoverished women and children. Become a partner today!
Sharing your time and talents:
- Please join us as we serve in our own community. Please consider volunteering with us at the Children's Relief Nursery, working to prevent child abuse and neglect in the St.
Johns area of north Portland. Please contact us for information on how to get involved.
- Please consider joining us on our next trip to Mongolia, Cambodia, Honduras, or Mozambique. If you are interested, email us or call LuAnn Yocky (503-293-6601) at the World Vision office. Trips are open to partners (who always pay their own way) who complete the Cross Cultural Study after one year of active service with Women of Vision.
- We need your help as God opens more doors for us to make a difference in the lives of children and women around the world. Please consider helping by serving on an event
committee.

- Please pray for the children and World Vision staff of Mongolia, Cambodia, Honduras, Mozambique, and the Children's Relief Nursery.
Sharing your resources:
Please prayerfully consider giving a gift to directly help the children and families in the projects we support. Columbia-Willamette Women of Vision has pledged $255,000 during this
fiscal year to the work of World Vision and the Children's Relief Nursery.
Volunteer opportunities:
Whether you can give one hour a year, one hour a month, one hour a week, or one hour a day,
there's a job for you in the ministry of Women of Vision. Please contact us so we can discuss with you the many possibilities. You will make a difference.
We would love to meet with you, but in the meantime look over these possibilities and then contact us.

To Partner Or Not To Partner
By Kathy Teckman
Women of Vision partner with women and their children around the world to create mutual life
-changing opportunities. Each year when the partnership letters are mailed, I pray for many of you to become Women of Vision partners. What is a partner and why do we ask you to partner with us?
According to Webster's dictionary, a partner is a partaker, sharer, colleague, and interestingly, it is also the heavy timber that strengthens a ship's deck to support a mast. When you partner with WOV
you are the heavy timber that strengthens our mission and supports the very thing that keeps us going. The $50 yearly partnership fee, which is tax deductible, pays for Women of Vision's administrative
costs. Without partners, we cannot exist. Please say "yes, I will partner with WOV." You will be
saying yes to a program that exists to help hurting, needy children and women around the world.
World Vision Mission Statement Our vision for every child, life in all its fullness. Our prayer for every heart, the will to make it so.
